Initial Situation
The cooperation between Vishay and cargo-partner began in 2000. Vishay required a logistics partner who could provide a high degree of reliability in standard processes as well as quick reaction times and flexibility in case of unexpected events. As the two companies grew and evolved together, Vishay came to rely on cargo-partner for the management of their entire supply chain.

Vishay’s requirement for a reliable tracking and tracing system went hand in hand with the launch of cargo-partner’s Visibility & Collaboration Platform SPOT in 2000. Since then, cargo-partner has been continuously developing SPOT in close coordination with Vishay’s high demands in regard to supply chain management and targeted reporting. In addition, cargo-partner supports Vishay with express trucking within Europe as well as warehousing services in Hungary and China. In fall 2016, cargo-partner opened a 3,700 square meter bonded customs warehouse in Shanghai exclusively for Vishay, providing the optimal conditions for the storage of electronic components.
