The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated changes in the food sector, which, like other industries, has seen growth in online sales along with a strong demand for e-commerce solutions. To complement our service portfolio in the foodstuffs industry, cargo-partner has acquired the Czech company Gibon Logistics.
Gibon Logistics offers unique fulfillment solutions for refrigerated shipments of variable sizes, from single pieces up to pallets. Using active cooling, the company delivers fresh food up to the customer’s door and currently serves clients all across the Czech Republic as well as in Bratislava.
This acquisition will further strengthen our expertise in foodstuffs logistics in the Czech Republic. At our iLogistics Center near Prague Airport, we offer storage at ambient (+15 to +25 °C) and chilled (+2 to +8 °C) temperature ranges and provide specialized logistics solutions for a number of customers from the foodstuffs and perishables industry. In addition, we are currently setting up a frozen storage area (-5 to -15 °C).
