International transport and info-logistics provider cargo-partner plans to build a new logistics center in Sofia, Bulgaria as part of the company’s strategic investments into strengthening its worldwide warehousing capacities. The new logistics center will contain 22,000 pallet slots on more than 16,500 m2 of storage space as well as 2,000 m2 of office space. This new facility will be added next to the 10,000 m2 logistics facility which the company has been operating since 2015. The location near Sofia airport provides direct connections to the metro station and railway line as well as easy access to the motorways Trakia (A1), Hemus (A2) and Struma (A3).
The warehouse will be especially suited for the storage of oversized cargoes and spare parts as well as valuable and customs bonded goods. The facility will have a temperature range of +5 to +25°C and will contain a special area for the storage of foodstuffs and other temperature-sensitive goods with a temperature range between +10 and +20°C. Value added services offered at the new warehouse will include packaging, labeling, delivery and returns processing.
cargo-partner CEO Stefan Krauter states: “After starting the construction of our modern iLogistics Center near Vienna Airport, the new warehouse in Sofia is the next important step in the expansion of our logistics capacities throughout Europe.” cargo-partner’s Managing Director in Bulgaria, Anton Stoykov, adds: “We are using the latest logistics technologies and the highest quality equipment to offer our customers not just storage, but a fully integrated logistics solution tailored to their requirements.”
