cargo-partner, a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., has launched a new sea freight consolidation service, offering streamlined, end-to-end transport solutions from Japan to Central and various locations in Eastern Europe. By leveraging cargo-partner’s strong regional network and the NX Group’s global expertise, the Vienna Consolidation service addresses growing demand for cost-effective, reliable shipping options from Japan to CEE.
Seamless connection from Japan to CEE
The Vienna Consolidation service was developed to provide a seamless connection between Japan and 26 destinations across Central and Eastern Europe, including Vienna, Graz, Linz, Innsbruck, Zagreb, Bratislava, Prague, Budapest, Warsaw and Poznan. Shipments from major Japanese hubs (Yokohama, Nagoya, Kobe, Hakata and Moji) are trucked to Tokyo for consolidation and then shipped directly to Hamburg before being moved to Vienna for final distribution. This setup ensures streamlined cargo handling, optimized transit times, and comprehensive market coverage.
A reliable end-to-end solution
From origin to destination, cargo-partner and the Nippon Express Group (NX Group) oversee all aspects of the transport process. Upon arrival in Hamburg, containers are transferred to the Vienna CFS (Container Freight Station), where they are unloaded, sorted, and prepared for delivery to their final destinations. The service draws on cargo-partner’s extensive presence in Central and Eastern Europe, recently enhanced with the “ONE Road” initiative which brings cargo-partner and NX operations even closer together, ensuring smooth and timely distribution.
