Sharing a Glimmer of Light: Donation to Help Families in Austria
For the second time this year, cargo-partner participated in the charity event “Licht ins Dunkel” (Light into Darkness). On the occasion of the initiative’s 50th anniversary, we donated 50,000 EUR to help Austrian families in need.
Martin Schenzel, our Managing Director in Austria, was once again delighted to attend the gala and support this good cause: “Last year we had the opportunity to help single parents, and this year we have a very different situation, with high inflation affecting many areas. Of course this is all the more extreme for people in need, making their lives even more difficult. Unfortunately, it’s often the children who suffer the consequences when they end up being denied opportunities. This year, we want to support the families in Austria and give them a perspective for the future.”
In total, this year’s Licht ins Dunkel gala raised 3.64 million EUR for people in need. Many thanks to everyone who called in to the hotline on November 18! We are grateful to be able to do our small part to spread light and hope in difficult times.
